     Learning is an on-going adventure in the literacy-rich environment of our Early Childhood classrooms. 

Developmentally appropriate activities and experiences introduce our young learners to reading, writing, and social studies. Mathematical concepts become second nature with games and math vocabulary incorporated into everyday activities. The students also enjoy regular hands-on science explorations in our science lab.



     Our Judaic program focuses on Jewish values and promotes awareness of Israel and Jewish traditions. 

Our goal is that our students become knowledgeable about their heritage and the many heroes throughout Jewish history. The foundations of Hebrew literacy in both oral and written Hebrew is an integral part of our program and begins from the youngest ages. Shabbat and Jewish holidays come alive with many activities, projects and celebrations that the children can share with their families.

Theses are important years for establishing the habits and interests that foster life-long learning. We focus on helping our students develop a love of learning and acquire skills necessary to become critical and caring thinkers and citizens. Individualized attention facilitates accurate assessment and instruction that is differentiated according to each child’s needs and provides meaningful opportunities to develop character and social skills in a safe and nurturing environment.

    Mindful Awareness Practices:


         A unique resiliency program is now being offered at the Judy Steinberg Hebrew Academy.Mindful Awareness is the moment-by-moment process of actively and openly observing one’s physical, mental and emotional experiences. Mindful Awareness has scientific support as a means to reduce stress, improve attention, boost the immune system, reduce emotional reactivity, and promote a general sense of health and well-being. Mindful Awareness Practices (MAPs) are tools and exercises that develop greater mind-body awareness and promote mindfulness in daily life. 
       

Our goal is to provide our students with the foundational skills they need to be successful in all aspects of their lives. Mindful Awareness enables our students to not only develop their academic abilities but give them skills to enhance their social and emotional well-being as well.
